Today, Morrison is a small but thriving town whose major industries are tourism and margaritas – especially in the summer. Visitors come for our restaurants, rocks, and/or rock concerts. They may be passing through on their way to and from the spectacular high peaks to the west, or they may come to Morrison for the day or a whole weekend away from the city, just as they did in Morrison’s earliest days.

This town, at the bottom of winding Bear Creek Canyon, is perhaps most famous for the nearby natural outdoor beauty. Its tiny main street strip is filled with more restaurants than anything, but there are a few shops and antique haunts. The Morrison Inn serves up Mexican meals and custom margaritas on their rooftop patio. Just outside Morrison rests the high-end, highly acclaimed, heavy-on-the-wild-game establishment known as The Fort. A replica of Bent’s Old Fort, the adobe is a celebration of the West; decor and southwestern foods are the standard, as are quality wines and decadent desserts.
